My Anti-Inflammatory Digestive Tea

My Anti-Inflammatory Digestive Tea

I love to have this tea every morning, as it contains so many healthful ingredients that helps to set up my body for success each day. It gets the digestive juices flowing and contains anti-inflammatory properties and promotes relaxation. Here are the ingredients in my tea:

Start with a cup of warm water and a Tulsi, (aka Holy Basil) tea bag. Tulsi is considered an adaptogen that helps to reduce cortisol levels and improving relaxation. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties as well as aids in digestion.

I add a dose of Shilajit, I use the one from Cymbiotika. Shilajit is a nutrient sourced in the Himalayas and other high elevations. It is rich in minerals that are essential for overall health, and it contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Next, I add half a squeezed lemon. Lemon juice helps improve digestion and lemon is a natural detoxifier that promotes the elimination of toxins from the body. Lemon juice also aids in hydration.

Lastly, I add a tsp of ground turmeric. Turmeric many powerful anti-inflammatory properties and these properties help soothe the digestive tract by reducing inflammation and promoting gut health.

All of these ingredients that make up my anti-inflammatory digestive tea pose numerous other benefits which would take up pages and pages, so I’ll stick to the basics now and save the other qualities such as skin health, brain health, immune support, etc. for another post.

Happy Healthy Eating!
